The Penticton Indian Band has awarded the bridge tender of construction to OXT Energy. They have sub-contracted Emil Anderson to construct the bridge. Construction has already started mid January 2015 and lane closures and dike closures have been implemented and enforced.

The construction will continue until the summer 2015 season, where they will shut down for Coyote Cruises to continue their daily operations. After the season, they will continue with constructing the bridge with a deadline of November 2015 as the completion date.
