The Penticton Indian Band Development Corporation (PIBDC), is a for-profit Corporation, incorporated under the provisions of the British Columbia Companies Act in 2007, owned by the Penticton Indian Band.
Penticton Indian Band Development Corporation (PIBDC) exists to ensure the certainty of the Penticton Indian Band's Traditional values and provide a sustainable economic return.
Penticton Indian Band Development Corporation (PIBDC) will honour the community by creating
the opportunity for responsible sustainable business decisions through its Investments and
Economic Development Strategy while maintaining committment to community stewardship, ownership,
values and engagement.
- PIBDC is the principle economic development, marketing and promotional organization for the Penticton Indian Band.
- PIBDC is the Business Investment Vehicle for the Penticton Indian Band.
- PIBDC pursues business joint ventures and investment opportunities on behalf of Penticton Indian Band community and stakeholders, that meet the established Investment Criteria developed by PIBDC.

- 2007 formation of the PIB Development Corporation with 2 exclusively owned limited partnership companies
- 2008 historic utility servicing agreement with City of Penticton
- 2008 formation of the land taxation authority
- 2009 pre engineering proposal for new road, utilities and bridge to service IR#1 lands
- 2009 ground breaking $10 Million community school
- Application for self administration of all Band lands
- 2010 starting construction for a $8Million Sockeye Salmon Hatchery and office building
- 2010 development of a new residential subdivision and business park for IR#2
- 2010 plans for 500 acres new village community incorporating a championship golf course, residential neighbourhoods, boutique hotel/resort and spa
